In February 2010 we received an unannounced inspection and once again achieved 3 star "Excellent" status. You can view the latest inspection report by clicking here.

We are an experienced provider of care always ensuring that our Staff are professional, trained and able to deal with all of our clients' needs. All of our representatives have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure as part of our strict recruitment process. We follow all the statutory regulations designed to safeguard vulnerable people.

We are committed to improving the standard of our service in any way that we can. We value the opinions of our customers and take seriously any criticism of the service. Clients' care packages are monitored continuously and a formal review will be undertaken at least once a year by a senior manager.

We conduct a Quality Monitoring Survey annually. To view the results of our latest survey please click here.

Following our in house induction course Staff are required to successfully complete a 3 month probationary period during which time they are supervised more regularly and are expected to establish their suitability as a Carer. If a relevant qualification is not held they are also required to register and complete an NVQ 2 award in care. Various specialist training courses are also undertaken to ensure that our staff continue to meet the needs of our clients. All Carers receive Health & Safety training annually.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get the same Carer each day?

We endeavour to provide you with a regular Carer. However, during times of sickness or holiday we will provide another Carer. If you have multiple visits each day then you will normally have several regular Carers.

How much will it cost?

It varies according to the duration of the visit. All visits over 1 hour are charged pro-rata of the hourly rate. There are different rates for visits under 1 hour split into 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 hour time slots. Please contact the office for the tariff of charges.

How do I pay?

You will be invoiced calendar monthly in arrears. We prefer payment via cheque or BACS. Cash is accepted but please do not send through the post. We ask that all bills are settled within 10 days. Invoices can be sent to members of the family or friends if you prefer.

How long will it take to set the care up?

Normally 2- 3 days. An assessor will visit you at home to assess your needs and consult with you and your family on the visits and range of tasks required. Once this has been completed a Care Plan is made up and your care can normally begin straight away. Assessments are free of charge and normally undertaken on Mondays & Fridays each week. If the service is taken up and then cancelled within 28 days there may be a small administration fee to pay.

Am I tied to a contract?

There is a simple agreement to sign which details the charges and what we should expect from each other.

What if I don't need the service any longer?

Just let us know, providing we have at least 24 hours notice you will only be charged for visits provided.

Will I get charged if I cancel a visit?

If you give us at least 24 hours notice you will not be charged.

If my Carer arrives and they aren't needed do I still have to pay?

Yes, because we would need 24 hours notice.

Are Staff insured?

Yes. The company has comprehensive public liability insurance.

Can I ask a Carer to move furniture or climb a ladder to take curtains down?

No. In addition to personal care, Carers may undertake light domestic tasks only.
